Hi all, again.
Two posts in one day! On a roll. I have been trying to figure out what to do about the discovery I made recently. See the image below…
This is the front of a catalog published by Lane in 1929-30 containing all of the Lane cedar chests available at the time. Pay particularly close attention to the logo. Is this a hint as to the age of the rounded single line logo in our little boxes? And, once again, what does this rectangle with the “handles”on it represent. I just don’t get it. The “lane” makes sense I guess – but what’s the box about?
I don’t think I can get much out of this other than to say the rounded, less squared-off ears or handles on the sides of the logo date back to 1929 at least. This may help us later…for now just adding the the database.
Short and sweet this time.
