This is just a quick post to discuss a box being offered on e-bay at this very minute. I have a bid in but still waiting…update…while I was typing this…my bid was accepted.
From what I can tell, it is a Short version with square vertical corners. Nothing unusual as far a Short box is concerned. I can’t tell if the lock-set is screwed in or pressed in from the photos. The curiosity is that the lid logo is a double-lined logo with no “Presented by” or dealer name. Heretofore, double lined logos have only been found on Tall boxes!
I must get my hands on this box for further inspection. I will be out of town when the box arrives so something to look forward to returning to…and my report about what I find will be a bit delayed…I know you can’t wait!
